      Erika Montoya is a professional journalist and has engaged in social innovation as social development for vulnerable communities in the U.S and Colombia.
         Her career started 21 years ago, as TV host for City TV. Later on, she moved to New York, where she lived for 14 years. In the U.S she developed her career as an editor for a number of digital news outlets developing full 360 digital experiences.
         Guided coverage for 16 countries in topics like U.S. Elections 2008, 2012, Earthquake in Japan, Haiti Earthquake, Death of Osama bin Laden for Terra.com as their news director. She was one of the few women invited by Barack Obama to the first Hispanic Digital Summit at the White House.
         Montoya served as the CEO of Arcangeles an NGO that works to empower people with disabilities through sports and advocates to ban landmines around the world. She has worked with the NGO Global Potential and in Colombia, co-founded the feminist organization Manifiesta.
 

 Currently  lives in Colombia and is the co-founder of VOLTA a company that develops editorial content for media and organizations. Montoya is an activist for transparency, accuracy and independence in media and for the total ban of landmines. She is an avid yoga and meditation practitioner.
